Was I ever a true Arctic Monkeys fan? No, but I’m sorta digging them now- might be the four gin and tonics that I just inhaled but I doubt it. Humbug, the new album by The Arctic Monkeys has me very interested, it’s dark, personal, sinuous and features that little bit of taboo that makes it oh so worth it- just the way I like it. Slightly melancholic, pensive, grungy, I’m a convert.

This is an album that has one of my multiple personalities clawing the walls, I’m satisfied but I still crave more and the boys have the fix. The album is lyrically interesting, twisted and slightly dirty. I could certainly listen to this album a few times over. Caters perfectly to that side of you that you prefer to let no one else know about; hence me putting Humbug on repeat. Love Fire and The Thud and what it does to me, definitely nab this album now!
