The Cinematics are back with a vengeance! Love and Terror has got to be one of the catchiest, head bobbing, rock albums that you’ve heard this year. One thing is for certain; having their former label file for bankruptcy certainly gave these lads from Scotland the creative impetus and freedom to make some of the best music of their careers. Congrats to guitarist Ramsay Miller, bassist Adam Goemans, drummer Ross Bonney, and vocalist/guitarist Scott Rinning for making an album that is very reminiscent of the Killers, Interpol, The Bravery, The Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen and We Are Scientists.
Love And Terror is moody and brooding with very intricate arrangements and vocals. Described by bass player Adam Goemans as a collection of records where “every production quirk on this album has been created by the band. There was no record company pressure on us to compromise”. Without a doubt, one of the best post-punk revival bands which you should definitely be adding Love And Terror to your collection tomorrow 10/06/09.

It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
