This Is Us had some potential of being a decent pop album predominantly because it featured the expertise of professionals such as T-Pain, Max Martin, RedOne (Lady GaGa’s ‘Just Dance’ and ‘Poker Face’), Soulshock and Karlin, Jim Jonsin ((Lil Wayne’s ‘Lollipop’, T.I.’s ‘Whatever You Like’), Brian Kennedy (Rihanna’s ‘Disturbia’, Chris Brown’s ‘Forever’, Jennifer Hudson), and Claude Kelly (co-writer Britney ‘Circus’ and Kelly Clarkson’s ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’) instead it just comes of as sub-par pop.
Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and AJ McLean new album is basically a bad trip down memory lane with late 90’s overly produced, extremely trite pop. I have to admit that I’m even more disappointed than I thought I would be. In my opinion, the ship has sailed to far for these former pop sensations to make a comeback.
