Hotel Costes
The Hôtel Costes collection always reminds me of languid days spent in Europe, being under the influence, fleeting romantic interludes with beautiful scantily attired people, lingering glances. Thank God that Stéphane Pompougnac followed his dreams of becoming a DJ and didn’t remain as a waiter at Hôtel Costes. This latest album just made me realize how old I’m getting; this is Pompougnac’s twelfth Hôtel Costes which means I’ve been a devotee for the last ten years. As always, it is everything that we’ve come to love from Costes- relaxing, sexy lounge music that will hopefully fuel your desires for a little refined excitement. In any case, I regard it as time well spent that I’ve been a fan for so long . Hôtel Costes Vol. 12 is available 09/22/09.
