The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard

The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard

I knew that The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard was going to be funny but I had no idea that I would literally be splitting my sides with laughter over a movie about car salesmen . I mean how funny could salesmen be? Well Neal Brennan (remember him Half- Baked, The Chapelle Show?), Rick Stempson and Andy Stock manage to turn what should have been a banal premise into what is undoubtedly one of the funniest films that you will see this year! And this is coming from someone with a severely warped sense of humor.

Meet Don Ready; a glib, hard drinking, chain smoking, womanizing jack of all trades  who is enlisted to help a struggling car dealership dispatch all their cars so as to avoid filing for bankruptcy. Aided by his bunch of misfits, Ready initiates a series of outrageous antics  and unscrupulous tactics that are certain to go down in comedic history.

What more do you want me to say? The film is fucking hilarious! Anything from the Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy, Adam McKay and Kevin J. Messick camp usually is. Featuring Jeremy Piven, Ving Rhames, Ed Helms, James Brolin, David Koechner, James Brolin, Ken Jeong, Tony Hale, Craig Robinson and many others- I’m predicting a fire sale for The Goods! Opens nationwide August 14th.
