Let’s face it, everyone knows I’m a soundtrack whore- but even my insatiable love for soundtracks was whetted with the Inglourious Basterds soundtrack! I’ve come to associate director Quentin Tarantino with a lot of things- gore, graphic violence, brilliant story telling and now, amazing soundtracks (who didn’t love Jackie Browns or Kill Bill’s?). Inglourious Basterds features a brilliant and eclectic collection of songs and scores that I certainly wouldn’t mind listening to over and over again.
The soundtrack features multiple scores from the prolific and award winning composer Ennio Morricone; Bowie and the eponymous Zarah Leander. If the film is as good as the soundtrack then we’re in for a treat. Definitely worth adding to the soundtrack of your life. Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds Motion Picture Soundtrack is available August 18th.
