Noah And The Whale

Have to admit that I was more than pleasantly surprised with London based pop group Noah and the Whale- Charlie Fink (vocals, guitar, harmonica, ukulele), Tom Hobden (fiddle), Urby (harmonium, bass), Laura Marling (backing vocals), and Doug Fink (drums). A significant part of the album  was very reminiscent of Sigur Ros- just hauntingly beautiful and melancholic.

Their new album-  The First Days Of Springs is a must have in my opinion. Its very languid and some would dare say depressing but its perfect for days where all you need is respite from the clutter of the world. The First Days Of Spring is available 10/06/09.
