Samantha Burke

So, I heard about it days ago but didn’t think it was news worthy but Jude Law is going to be a father; again; for the bloody 4th time! Now, not that I have a problem with Jude sowing his wild rakish oats; it’s not that I even have an irrational fascination bordering on obsession post The Talented Mr. Ripley and Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil (well actually it is) but come on mate, strap it in! Luckily a baby was the only permanent thing that came out of this tryst.

Now, I don’t know about you but I thought it quite bizarre that Samantha Burke chose to use TMZ as a medium to share the news. Her attorneys released the following message on her behalf

Ms. Burke can confirm that she did in fact have a relationship with Mr. Law and that she has informed Mr. Law that she is expecting his child later this fall. Since informing Mr. Law of the pregnancy, he has been nothing but responsive and supportive of Ms. Burke and the pregnancy.”

That almost seems like an act of desperation- either she wants the public scrutiny (after all, she is a model and aspiring actress) or Jude wasn’t stepping up to the plate and she felt that this was her only recourse. I’ll give Samantha this she’s hot - in that Xenaish way even if she looks a tad older than 24. I still haven’t figured out if congratulations or apologies are in order. Either way, the stork lands around October 6th.
