Michael Jackson Conrad Murray

Michael Jackson Conrad Murray

Dr. Conrad Murray must be ruing the day he became the King of Pop’s personal physician. As we speculated month’s ago, it was a fatal combination of drugs that caused Michael Jackson’s untimely passing. Though the findings have not been publicly released, a source has confirmed our speculations. Based on his involvement, Murray will face involuntary manslaughter charges and will most likely loose his license and serve some jail time.

Involuntary manslaughter occurs when death results from a high degree of negligence or recklessness; something that won’t be hard to prove as Murray confirmed that on June 25th he gave Michael Jackson 25 milligrams of Propofol, 10 milligrams of Valium, two milligrams of  Lorazepam and two milligrams of Midazolam. The director of San Diego division of the California Poison Control System- Lee Cantrell, issued the following statement:

“This is horrible polypharmacy…No one will treat an insomniac like this.”

What happened was a tragedy but the vilification of Murray is bordering on a witch hunt. Granted that he should have known better than to administer such an unorthodox cocktail, it is now public knowledge that Michael Jackson had a long history of abusing medication. Following his death, close friend and confidante- Liza Minnelli had this to say about Michael’s death:

“And I’m sure that now the accolades are going, and I’m sure when the autopsy comes, all hell’s going to break loose.”

Obviously Murray had administered that particular cocktail on more than one occasion. The question remains how culpable will a jury find Murray in the wake of mounting evidence of Michael Jackson’s substance abuse problem?
