Ellipse
I know I just admitted that few things get me giddy but when it comes to musically induced orgasms, few artists get me there as quickly as Imogen Heap! Give me a second, I need to smoke a cigarette. The delectable Miss. Heap is back with Ellipse; get the Deluxe edition which includes a bonus CD containing instrumental versions of all 13 of the album’s tracks. Ellipse is utterly exquisite! I can’t get enough of Imogen Heap, her music just tugs on my heart strings. There’s an ethereal quality to her alternative pop-rock, Euro-pop and electronica sound that is simply out of this world.
I was unaware of it until now but Ellipse features the input of millions of Imogen’s Twitter and Myspace fans. As with anything Heap, the album features some of the best musical production that you’ll ever hear. It is further complicated by her signature lilting multi-tracked vocals and “faux-choral” sound. Ellipse is languid, it’s magical, it’s awesome, it’s brilliant, it’s Imogen Heap! I’m aware that I’m gushing but bear with me- I already knew that I was in love with Heap’s music but I think I might just have to ask for her hand in marriage.
