Unlike other sites, we don’t deem it fit to behave like scavengers or trolls who get off on the misery of others, hence we won’t do anything but talk about yet another scandal in the sporting world. Regarding Erin Andrews, what undoubtedly started out as a prank is going to and should have serious repercussions.

A video of the Erin Andrews in the nude was released online - Andrew serves as a reporter for ESPN. Both the network and Andrews are furious about this invasion of privacy. In case you haven’t ever seen Erin Andrews (I hadn’t because I’m not much of a sports fan); she is marketed as a sexy, blond bombshell reporter.

Because of the presence of female athletes, we tend to occasionally forget how much of a male dominated arena the sporting world is. With that comes objectification, sexism and misogyny- which in my opinion Erin Andrews is currently a victim of. I mean let’s be honest, if Erin had a face like a gargoyle and the body of a warthog she certainly wouldn’t be on any major network for that matter.

It is currently believed that the 5 minute video was shot by a co-worker. John Krulewitz, a spokesperson for ESPN issued the following statement “Andrews has been grievously wronged here. Our people and resources are in full support of her as she deals with this abhorrent act,”. Thus far, authorities have only managed to partially identify the person who uploaded it- Goblazers1 (a 49 year old American male). Whoever shot the video should be sweating bullets by now.
