You’ve got to admire an actor that stands by his convictions and that’s why I’m officially tipping my hat to Daniel Radcliffe. In recent interviews, Radcliffe asserted that although he was immensely grateful for the success of the Harry Potter series, he would be glad when they were eventually over. It seems fair enough- Radcliffe has been portraying Potter for twelve years and is at risk of being type cast in the fantasy genre. As such, Radcliffe had this to say about the rampant rumors that he had been asked to play Bilbo Baggins in the upcoming adaptation of Tolkien’s The Hobbit:
I’d have to say, ‘Thanks but no thanks,’ not that anyone has asked me…Honestly, I don’t think they would want me anyway, it’s just too close. Whatever I do next, I don’t think there will be any wizards in it!
LATimes
Other alleged contenders for the role include James McAvoy and David Tennant- all excellent choices. By most indications, The Hobbit should be pretty remarkable as it is being produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Guillermo del Toro. All I have to say is someone better make a decision fast before we start loosing interest.

It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
