Headline says it all; yesterday there were erroneous reports that Christian Audigier- the cretin who inflicted Ed Hardy upon civilization had purchased the $30 million mansion that Michael Jackson passed away in. Now, I’ve long considered Audigier to be an authority in bad taste but this seemed even too distasteful for him.
Audigier has indeed purchased the mansion and intends to move in at the end of Michael Jackson’s lease on December 15th. There are no plans to turn it into a public space or a musuem as was initially reported.
Still morbid if you ask me, I’m sure Audigier will find something equally aesthetically offensive to use the mansion for. The mansion which Jackson was renting for a $100,000 per month featured a screening room, state of the art wine cellar, sprawling gardens, seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 12 fireplaces, a swimming pool and a guest house. Garish but isn’t that what Audigier does best?
