I’m not embarrassed to admit it: I love a good chick flick- Love Actually, The Holiday; simply brilliant! I imagine that it’s due to my inability to reciprocate normal human emotions and as such, I live vicariously through overly sentimental films. Yes, I know I’m a cynic and no ,I don’t think you can cure me. Anyhow, I’m looking forward to seeing The Time Traveler’s Wife based on the best selling novel by Audrey Niffenegger.
Niffenegger, presents a rather improbable but delightful story about a seemingly ill-fated couple who must contend with the ravages of a rare genetic disorder that frequently hurtles “Henry ” through time. The trajectory of their lifes are influenced by kismet and as a result we bear testament to the notion that time, separation and even death are incapable of extinguishing or diminishing love. If you haven’t read the book, I suggest you do, Her Fearful Symmetry is another excellent read.
If you’re in doubt, don’t be the stars portray the story wonderfully. Adapted by Bruce Joel Rubin- who won an Oscar for his screenplay for Ghost and produced by Brad Pitt (who has rather impeccable taste in my opinion) be prepared to walk out of exhilarated theater. Destined for chick flick greatness, director’s Robert Schwentke’s The Time Traveler’s Wife features two of Hollywood’s most visually pleasing and talented stars: Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana and opens nationwide August 14th.
P. S. the soundtrack is for lack of a better word- exquisite!

It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
