Michael Jackson

The frenzy has begun;  Sony Corp has just entered a $50 million bid to acquire the rights to Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” rehearsal footage. If the deal goes through, Sony or the winning studio, AEG Live and Jackson’s estate will produce  a film based on the singer’s comeback concert.

According to the Los Angeles Times “Sony Pictures has a leg up on other bidders because Sony Music distributes Jackson’s music and is in a 50-50 partnership with his estate in Sony/ATV Music Publishing.”

There are also discussions going on for a  television special that that is worth tens of millions.  And they said there was a recession going on!
